Sponsored by Words of the People, this reading and gala features Jake Skeets (current Navajo Nation Poet Laureate; award-winning author of Eyes Bottle Dark with a Mouthful of Flowers) and Kinsale Drake (celebrated Diné poet, playwright, and NABJ Award winner). The evening begins with readings from both poets, followed by an audience Q& A, and a brief presentation about Words of the People's Rematriation program.
